Safety Centre

Paireva verifies what it can automatically, but nobody can vouch for another person's intentions. These are the habits that keep people safe — they take a few minutes and they matter.

Before you meet someone

  • Video call before you meet in person. It is the quickest way to know that someone is who they say they are.
  • Meet somewhere public the first few times — a café, a restaurant, somewhere busy. Arrange your own way there and back.
  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going, who with, and when you expect to be home.
  • Keep your phone charged, and trust yourself: if something feels off, you can leave at any point without explaining yourself.
  • Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking details or copies of identity documents to someone you have met here — no matter how convincing the reason sounds. This is the single most common way people are harmed on matchmaking services.
  • Keep conversations on Paireva until you feel genuinely comfortable. Someone in a rush to move you elsewhere is a signal worth noticing.

What we do, and what we cannot do

We run automated email, phone and photo checks, watch for duplicated photographs and unusual bursts of activity, and reduce the visibility of accounts that trigger risk signals. Everything is automated — no staff member reads your conversations.

We do not run criminal background checks and we cannot guarantee any member's identity, intentions or character. Verification lowers risk; it does not remove it. Your safety decisions remain yours.

Community guidelines

Membership depends on treating people decently. These are not allowed here:

  • Harassment, threats, intimidation or abuse of any kind.
  • Hate speech, or content that demeans people for who they are.
  • Impersonation — someone else's photographs, a false age, a hidden marriage, invented details.
  • Asking for money, investments or financial information, or any commercial, recruiting or promotional pitch.
  • Sharing anyone else's private details, photographs or messages outside Paireva.
  • Any contact with a person under 18.
  • Multiple or fake accounts, and automated access, scraping or bots.

The full list is in our Terms of Service.

Reporting and blocking

On anyone's profile — including from a conversation — you will find Report and Block. Reporting takes a few seconds and asks only what happened.

  • Reporting someone also blocks them for you: they disappear from your introductions and cannot message you again.
  • The person you report is never told that you reported them.
  • Reports are assessed automatically, feed the account's risk score, and can reduce visibility, restrict or remove the account.
  • Blocking on its own is silent and instant, and you never need a reason.

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then report the account here so it cannot reach anyone else.

Your privacy is part of your safety

Your surname, employer, income range and last-active status are hidden unless you switch them on, your location is only ever approximate, and photographs can be blurred until mutual interest or kept private until you approve someone. You can also browse privately. All of it lives in Settings and privacy, and how we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
